Privacy Policy

The short version

Le Coin has no reader accounts, no logins, no newsletter signup, no comments and no advertising. We do not run analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal information.

What is stored on your device

When you close the Terms notice, your browser saves one small item in local storage: lecoin_terms_ack, set to the version of the Terms you saw (for example, “1.0”). It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and only stops the notice from showing again. You can delete it by clearing your browser’s site data; the notice will then reappear.

We set no cookies for readers. A sign-in used only by Le Coin staff sets a session cookie. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site.

Search and prices

Search runs in your browser. Your search words are part of the page address, as on most sites, but we do not keep a search log. The address can appear in the short-lived server logs described below. Prices are fetched from CoinGecko when the site is built, so your browser does not contact CoinGecko.

Server logs

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and time, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We may view short-lived request logs to fix errors. We do not use them to profile readers. Cloudflare’s handling is described in its own privacy policy.

If you email us

If you write to support@lecoin.news, we use your email address and message to reply and to handle tips and corrections, and keep them only as long as needed for that.

Other sites

Links to other sites, including X, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Children

Le Coin is a general news site and is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, correct or delete personal information we hold. Since we hold almost none, the main item is any email you sent us. Write to support@lecoin.news.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the version and date at the top of this page.
