Evernorth said on Oct. 14 it will both accumulate and deploy from its 473 million XRP treasury with four institutional partners starting in the fourth quarter, subject to closing conditions and approvals.
Evernorth Holdings, the Nasdaq-listed XRP treasury company that trades as XRPN, named Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo as its first institutional execution partners in a release on Oct. 14 (source 1). The company said it will work with the four to "both accumulate and deploy from its 473 million XRP treasury into institutional strategies beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026" (source 1).
None of it is final yet. "Any and all partnership agreements remain subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, and the receipt of any required regulatory and corporate approvals," the release states (source 1). It does not say when those conditions are expected to be met, what the agreements contain, or how much XRP each partner would handle.
The pitch is a change of posture. Evernorth called the announcement "the start of the company's phased approach to put its XRP treasury to work rather than simply hold it" (source 1). Founder and CEO Asheesh Birla put it plainly: "We're putting our treasury to work" (source 1).
The plan runs in two phases. The first uses "strategies that can be executed today through established institutional counterparties," the company said (source 1). Later, as the XRP Ledger's native lending and on-chain credit features "are activated by validators and proven in production," Evernorth intends to phase in decentralized finance strategies on the ledger itself (source 1). The release gives no date for that second phase.
What the treasury is worth depends on the minute. At the Coinbase Exchange XRP-USD opening price of $1.3729 for the minute starting 8:00 a.m. ET on Oct. 14, 473 million XRP comes to about $649 million (source 3). That is Le Coin arithmetic on the company's rounded token count; Evernorth did not state a dollar value.

The program sits with a new hire. Chief Investment Officer Hugo Jeandesboz, formerly co-chief investment officer at Coinbase Asset Management, oversees the deployment (source 1). In the release he framed the test as "whether it can manage one," meaning an asset, and said the four partners "meet that bar today" (source 1). An 8-K filed Oct. 13 attached a release dated Oct. 12 announcing that he "has joined Evernorth" (source 2); the Oct. 14 release says he was named on Sept. 28 (source 1).
The objection is the one every treasury company faces once it stops just holding. Lending or otherwise deploying tokens with counterparties trades price exposure for credit and operational exposure. The release offers no yield target, no return figures, no allocation limits and no counterparty concentration caps (source 1). It says only that deployment comes "with risk management and oversight by Evernorth's investment and risk team" (source 1).
There is also a relationship question the release does not address. Ripple is one of the four named partners, and those agreements are not yet final (source 1). The release does not describe Ripple's economic ties to Evernorth or how conflicts would be handled (source 1).
The timing is deliberate. The release noted that Evernorth would ring the Nasdaq closing bell on Oct. 14, and that its shares began trading on Oct. 8 after its business combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II (source 1). The company's Oct. 13 filing dates the closing of that combination to Oct. 9 (source 2).
The tell will be the first quarterly report that breaks out what was deployed, with whom, and at what return. Until then, this is a list of names and a goal of growing "XRP per share over time" (source 1), with the agreements still open.
