· The CFTC and the United States sue Utah over prediction-market enforcement. The Commission said Oct. 27 it sued in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah to stop Utah from using state gambling law against CFTC-registered event-contract markets. The complaint (Case 2:26-cv-01055, filed Oct. 26) follows Utah Attorney General Derek Brown's Oct. 20 state suit against Kalshi and Susquehanna entities. Release 9315-26 says the Commission has also opened proceedings against nine other states; complaint paragraph 65 names Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin, making Utah the tenth on that complaint-and-PR count. A complaint is a filing, not a ruling. [5][6]
· Predict.fun reports about 400,000 USDT in unauthorized transfers. Predict.fun said in an official @predictdotfun post at about 10:33 a.m. ET that a small number of users saw unauthorized transfers totaling approximately 400,000 USDT. The company's preliminary investigation "suggests" its third-party-hosted API documentation site "may have been compromised"; it took the docs site offline and said it will fully reimburse affected users for losses as a direct result of the incident, with a post-mortem to follow. Those figures and the cause framing are the company's. [7]
· Payward intends to be the first CFTC-regulated HIP-3 deployer for US perps on Hyperliquid rails, subject to approval.* Hyperliquid said Payward, Kraken's parent, announced that intention, with Bitnomial as the prospective DCM/DCO deployer and NinjaTrader Clearing as the prospective FCM if approved. HIP-3* remains optional, additive functionality with preliminary testnet specifications. This is an intention announcement, not live US trading. [8]
· CoinShares maps four ways stablecoins reach equity portfolios; supply $305.83 billion. A CoinShares research note dated Oct. 23 puts total stablecoin supply at $305.83 billion as of Sept. 27, 2026, with Tether and Circle at 84.7%, and frames banks, T-bill demand, settlement distribution and tokenised-equity collateral as pathways into listed-equity exposure. The page is company research, not a regulator finding. [9]
· As of Oct. 27, Robinhood's pages describe Robinhood Earn for USDG via Morpho. Support and product pages say eligible users can buy USDG on Robinhood Crypto and lend it onchain through a self-custody wallet via Morpho's protocol; the product page states an estimated 7% APY as a company figure; New York and Texas are restricted. The pages describe the product; they are not treated here as a dated go-live announcement. Not a deposit product; lent crypto is not FDIC- or SIPC-protected per the disclosures. [10][11]
